In the first episode of Manasa Sanchara Re!, the primary text we explore is the Sri Rama Karnamrutham of Sri Jagadguru Adi Shankaracharya.
In collaboration with P. Sai Saketh, we embark on a grand three-hour journey through selected verses of Sri Rama Karnamrutham, attempting to connect the dots between Shankaracharya's Rama Karnamrutham and the timeless compositions of Sri Sadguru Tyagaraja Swami and Sri Muthuswami Dikshitar.
Along the way, we explore multiple mantra murtis of Lord Rama such as Pattabhi Rama, Veera Rama, Kalpa Vriksha Rama and delve into a few philosophical concepts, and examine how these ideas find expression in Carnatic music through the works of our great vaggeyakaras.
